Easy Spiced Pear and Walnut Galette
A buttery, nutty pie crust with a spiced pear and walnut filling, it is so delicious!

Ingredients
For walnut pie crust:

salted butter - chunked
cold

ice cold water - add water and mix until dough pulls together
For Filling:

pears - peeled
cored and sliced

sugar

teaspoon
ground cinnamon

ground cloves
1/8
teaspoon
ground ginger
1/8
teaspoons
ground nutmeg

walnut pieces

tablespoon
warmed honey - for on top after cooking
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Mix together your walnut pieces, flour, sugar and salt.
Add cold butter chunks to the flour mixture and cut in with a pastry cutter, fork or your hands until pea or larger sized butter pieces are found.
Add in the cold water as you mix until dough comes together into a ball.
Roll out dough into a large circle or rectangle (personal preference on the shape) and lay on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Add sliced pears to the middle of the dough, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg and walnut pieces.
Fold up the sides of the dough around the pears but leaving the most part of the center area of the pears exposed.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until dough gets slightly golden or feels cooked when pressed on.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with warm honey.
