Biscuits and Gravy Casserole

Easy to make biscuits and gravy casserole with premade biscuits, sausage gravy and a white gravy over top.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground sausage - breakfast sage or mild
  • 1 can of Pillsbury Grands Buttermilk biscuits 8 biscuits or Homemade biscuits - cut into quarters
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • For 5 minute gravy to go on top:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon salt - adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Cook sausage and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper and cornstarch.
  • Add sausage to the eggs and stir then add in the biscuit pieces and mix together.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 8 x 8 pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • While casserole is cooking, in a small pan, add all of the ingredients and whisk together over medium/high heat until the gravy thickens, remove from heat and when casserole is finished baking, pour over casserole or spoon over each individual serving.
