Ingredients
1/2poundground sausage - breakfastsage or mild
1can of Pillsbury Grands Buttermilk biscuits8 biscuits or Homemade biscuits - cut into quarters
2eggs
1/2cupmilk
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1/2tablespooncornstarch
For 5 minute gravy to go on top:
1cupmilk
1tablespoonscorn starch
1/8teaspoonblack pepper
1/4 -1/2teaspoonsalt - adjust to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Cook sausage and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper and cornstarch.
Add sausage to the eggs and stir then add in the biscuit pieces and mix together.
Pour mixture into a greased 8 x 8 pan.
Bake for 30 minutes.
While casserole is cooking, in a small pan, add all of the ingredients and whisk together over medium/high heat until the gravy thickens, remove from heat and when casserole is finished baking, pour over casserole or spoon over each individual serving.
