Cherry Cheese Cake Bars

Cherry and cheesecake come together to make the perfect picnic or potluck dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 pie crusts - store bought or my easy pie crust recipe HERE.
  • 1 package cream cheese- softened
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Roll 2 pie crust out so they cover the bottom of a greased cookie sheet.
  • In a bowl, use an electric whisk to mix cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, eggs, vanilla and lemon juice until that mixture is smooth.
  • Pour that mixture onto the pie crust and smooth out.
  • Add cherry pie filling in spoonfuls on top.
  • Roll out the remaining pie crust and slice into strips.
  • Lay the strips in a lattice pattern over the tops.
  • Bake for 30 minute.
  • Mix together the glaze ingredients then drizzle over the top.
