Tahini Turtle Blondies

Fully loaded, delicious pecan, chocolate and tahini caramel blondies!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoons Tahini butter ground sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Tahini Caramel:
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
  • Mix almond flour, flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together.
  • Add milk, tahini butter, vanilla and egg.
  • Blend batter together until smooth.
  • Line glass 8 x 8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • pour batter into baking pan and sprinkle tops with pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 35 minutes.
  • Make tahini caramel during the baking time.
  • In a small sauce pan, add corn syrup, sugar, tahini, butter, cream and salt and bring to a boil, stirring continuously so nothing burns.
  • Reduce to a simmer and simmer for about 2 minutes or until the sugar is all melted and mixture looks creamy.
  • Stir in vanilla and pour into another dish.
  • When Blondie's are done cooking pour caramel over the top of Blondie's and sprinkle a few more chocolate chips.
