In one bowl combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
In another bowl, whisk 2 eggs.
In another bowl, add egg, milk and pickle juice.
Slice the onion into ~1 inch rounds. Take out the smaller middle sections unless you want to bread and fry them too.
Dip onions in flour mixture.
Then dip into egg mixture.
Back into flour mixture.
Into milk mixture then back into flour mixture.
Set aside until you are ready to cook them.
Repeat with each onion ring until all of the onion rings are coated.
Heat oil in a pan until it is 350 F. to 375 F.. helpful tip: place a popcorn kernel in the oil and when it pops you are ready to cook.
Place onion rings into the oil and cook until the outside begins to brown, flip it over and cook until the other side is brown as well. This may take a little practice to get the perfect cook.
Set cooked onion rings on a paper towel lined dish and keep in a warm oven until all of the rings are cooked and you are ready to eat.
