Chocolate Spice Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Banana chocolate chip muffins that have been taken to the dark side, in a good way.

Ingredients

  • 3 banana - the riper the better
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add bananas, sugar, brown sugar and butter and blend together until all blended together.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • In another bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and stir together.
  • Add Flour mixture to the banana and egg mixture.
  • Add milk and blend everything together.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spoon into muffin tins until they a re ~3/4 the way full.
  • Bakes for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean of batter, their will probably be chocolate on the toothpick.
