Peanut Butter Hug Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 /2 cup Butter - softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 24 Hershey's Hugs
  • 24 Milk Chocolate Chips Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  • Cream together the peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar.
  • Add eggs and stir.
  • In another bowl, mix together salt, baking soda and flour.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter and egg mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  • Roll into about 1-1/2 inch balls and press down slightly so they form a disc. Make a small indent in the middle of the cookie with your finger.
  • Bake on a lightly greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Optional - Add 1 chocolate chip underneath the Hershey Hug to the indented area of the cookie. Bake for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and enjoy. If you are packaging these up allow to cool completely so the Hug doesn't smear.
