Servings: 24 extra large cookies
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup Sour cream
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 5 cups Flour
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Blend sugar with butter, add eggs, vanilla and sour cream. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir until everything is well incorporated. Freeze batter for 20 minutes. Flour a surface and gently roll out the cold dough, dusting with more flour as needed. Roll to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out dough and place on a greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. You don't really want any color to the cookie, it will be super soft when you take it out but will be perfect when it cools.
