Mix all the wet ingredients together, followed by the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, followed by the the milk.
Mix batter until smooth.
Pour into a greased baking dish, 8 x 8 pan for a thicker cake or a 9 x 13 for a sheet pan type cake.
Bake for ~40 minutes if using an 8x8 pan and ~20 minutes for a 9 x 13 pan. Cake is done when a toothpick comes out clean.
