Ingredients

  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoons milk
  • 2-3 dashes hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoon flour or gluten free baking mix

Instructions

  • Slice onion across the top and peel it, keeping the bottom attached.
  • Cut the onion into wedges but don't cut all of the way through to the bottom, leave it attached so it looks like a blossom.
  • loosed each wedge so it looks like petals and each part of the onion will be able to get flour on it.
  • In a bowl, add egg, milk and hot sauce.
  • In another bowl, add almond flour, salt, paprika, and flour and mix.
  • Dip the onion into the egg mixture, spooning the mixture into the onion if you need to.
  • Dip the onion in the flour mixture, spooning the mixture between each petal so all of the onion is coated.
  • Place in air fryer and spray with some olive oil.
  • Bake on 300 for 20 minutes then turn heat up to 400 for 10 minutes.
