Ham and pea gravy over egg noodles
A lighter variation of gravy over toast this pasta dish has the same comforting flavors and it's super quick and easy to make too.

Ingredients

egg noodles - half a standard sized bag

tablespoons
olive oil
1/4
cup
onions - finely diced
2
teaspoons
flour
1 1/2
cups
milk
1/2
teaspoon
salt + more to taste
1/4-1/2
teaspoons
black pepper - this depend how much you like in your dishes
I like a lot so I all 1/2 teaspoon plus more on top of my portion

ham - diced

frozen peas
Parmesan cheese for on top
Instructions
Salt water and cook pasta.
While pasta is cooking, add olive oil to a non-stick pan and add onions.
Cook onions until they start to soften and get golden.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and oil and stir.
Add milk and mix well into the onions and oil mixture.
Add salt, black pepper, ham and frozen peas and stir until peas are cooked through and sauce starts to thicken slightly.
Drain your noodles and add gravy on top of them then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and I add fresh cracked black pepper too but that is optional.
