Avocado Smoothie

Move over guacamole and avocado toast, the sweet side of the avocado has come to town and it’s showing off. This avocado smoothie is so yummy! It’s creamy, not too sweet but totally satisfying! The avocado stays fresh and bright and I am seriously obsessed!

Avocado smoothies are made and loved all around the world from Brazil to Vietnam and for good reason! The creaminess from the avocado along with it’s subtle avocado taste make it the perfect fit for the sweeter side; in smoothies or ice cream shakes!

Make sure your avocados are not too ripe or under-ripe. They should be vibrant green without too many spots and soft enough to slice with a dull butter knife.

What you need to make this avocado smoothie

serves 2

1 medium/large avocado
1 medium banana
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1-1/2 cups ice
1 cup almond milk
2-3 tablespoons honey (if you want it on the sweeter side add 3, if you want it a little less sweet add 2)

Instructions

  1. Removed pit and peel from avocado.
  2. Peel banana.
  3. Add avocado, banana, lemon juice, ice, almond milk and honey to blender.
  4. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until mixture is smooth.
  5. Enjoy!
