Challah Bread Baked French Toast
Delicious baked French toast that uses challah bread, warm spices and a crunchy caramelized topping.

eggs

milk

pumpkin pie spice

cinnamon

salt - plus more for on top

vanilla extract

~1 pound challah bread
or 1 small loaf - chunked into pieces

salted butter - cut into pieces

cinnamon toast crunch cereal

maple syrup

pecan pieces

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F.
In a large mixing bowl, add eggs, milk, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and sugar and whisk together.
Add the challah bread chunks and mix them into the egg mixture so every piece is coated.
Pour bread mixture into a greased casserole dish.
Add salted butter pieces on top followed by the cinnamon toast crunch and pecans (if using).
Drizzle maple syrup over the top of cereal topping and give the top of dish a nice sprinkle of salt.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the bread seemed baked through.
Enjoy with maple syrup on top.
