Easy Boysenberry Turnovers

These boysenberry turnovers are delicious and fabulously easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry - thawed
  • 1/2 cup boysenberries - fresh or canned
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sugar for sprinkling on top

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 F.
  • Roll out puff pastry and cut into 9 squares.
  • Toss berries in sugar and add about 1 tablespoon of berries to the center of each square.
  • Fold over and press together ends of dough.
  • Mix together egg and water and brush over the turnovers, followed by a generous sprinkle of sugar.
  • Bake for ~15 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
  • Mix together glaze ingredients and drizzle on top, enjoy!
