Vanilla Cake with Strawberries

Fluffy and delicious vanilla cake with whipped cream and strawberries!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter - softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the whipped cream:

  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar

For the strawberries:

  • 16 ounces strawberries - 1 package sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • In a small bowl, add milk and vinegar and stir together then set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add butter and sugar and mix well then add eggs and vanilla and stir again.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, salt and milk mixture and mix batter until it's smooth.
  • Grease pan and add batter.
  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the cake is risen in the center and baked through.
  • Cool cake completely.
  • Whip together the cream and powdered sugar.
  • Slice strawberries and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Top cake with whipped cream and strawberries and enjoy.
