Balsamic Wedge Salad

These balsamic wedge salads are loaded with delicious toppings and a sweet and tangy dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce - cut in half then into 6 wedges
  • 1 apple - diced
  • 1/4 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup bacon crumbles
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese
  • For the balsamic dressing:
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • For balsamic dressing:
  • In a small bowl, add balsamic vinegar, sugar and salt and stir well.
  • Let it sit for a few minutes so the sugar dissolves.
  • Whisk in olive oil.
  • For the salads:
  • Rinse lettuce and remove outer leaves.
  • Slice lettuce in half and remove the core and stem.
  • Slice into 6 wedges.
  • Top each wedge with diced apple, pecans, bacon crumbles and feta cheese.
  • When ready to serve, drizzle tops with balsamic dressing.
