Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • Flour mixture:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Egg mixture:
  • 2 eggs
  • Milk mixture:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice
  • For Cooking:
  • cups ~4vegetable oil - you want the oil to be about 3 inches deep.

Instructions

  • Grab 3 large bowls.
  • In one bowl combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk 2 eggs.
  • In another bowl, add egg, milk and pickle juice.
  • Dip chicken tenders in flour mixture.
  • Then dip into egg mixture.
  • Back into flour mixture.
  • Into milk mixture then back into flour mixture.
  • Set aside until you are ready to cook them.
  • Repeat with each chicken tender until all of the chicken tenders are coated.
  • Heat oil in a pan until it is 350 F. to 375 F.. helpful tip: place a popcorn kernel in the oil and when it pops you are ready to cook.
  • Place chicken fingers into the oil and cook until the outside begins to brown, flip it over and cook until the other side is brown as well. This may take a little practice to get the perfect cook. The insides should be at least 165 F. if you have a meat thermometer you can check or cut one in half to test before you finish the rest of the batch.
  • Set on a paper towel lined dish and keep in a warm oven until all of the chicken is cooked and you are ready to eat.
  • Enjoy!
