Stone Fruit Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 3 Peaches Peeled and pitted
  • 2 Necterines Peeled and Pitted
  • 2 Plums Pitted
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup Simple Syrup To make Simple syrup combine 1/2 cup water with 1/2 cup sugar and heat in pan or microwave until sugar is dissolved

Instructions

  • If using an ice cream maker, prepare ahead of time.
  • To make Simple syrup combine 1/2 cup water with 1/2 cup sugar and heat in sauce pan over medium high heat until sugar is dissolved or microwave mixture for about 1 1/2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Let mixture cool before adding to sorbet recipe.
  • Peel and pit the peaches and Nectarines.
  • Pit the Plums but leave the skins on.
  • In a blender, Combine the fruits with Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into prepared ice cream maker or freeze and stir every 45 mintues until frozen.
  • You can also make this in a zip lock bag by pouring 1/2 of the mixture into a gallon sized bag and sealing well then placing that bag inside of another zip lock bag that has 3 tablespoons salt and 2 cups ice in it. Seal that bag too and begin shaking and working the mixture until it freezes.
