3 - 1/3poundcube steaks or ground turkey or beef pressed into a patty.
2/3cupsuperfine ground almond flour
1/3cupFlour
1/2teaspoonSalt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/4teaspoonthyme
1-1/2teaspoonsOnion Powder
1/2teaspoonBaking Soda
1teaspoonBaking Powder
2eggs - whisked together
1/3cupMilk of choice
3dashes hot sauce
non- stick spray
Gravy:
1cupmilk of choice - if using almond milk use unsweetened
1/2teaspoonSalt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
2tablespoonsCornstarch
2tablespoonswater
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine almond flour, flour, salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, onion powder, baking soda and baking powder.
Mix well.
In another bowl add eggs, milk and hot sauce.
Blend together.
Take chopped steaks and dip into milk mixture, then into almond flour mixture. Press the almond flour mixture onto the meat.
Dip back into the milk and egg mixture then back into the almond flour mixture, pressing on the almond flour mixture again.
Repeat this with all of your steaks.
Spritz each side of your steak with some non- stick spray.
Place in the air fryer and cook at 400 F. for 7 minutes, flip over steak and cook for another 6 minutes.
For gravy: Add milk, salt, black pepper, cornstarch and water to a small sauce pan. Whisk over high heat until the mixture begins to thicken. Once thickened remove from heat and serve over chicken fried steaks.
