Horchata Blondies

Cinnamon swirled blondies that are decadent, buttery and so delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter - melted
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • For glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powder sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 F.
  • Add melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla to a bowl and mix.
  • Add eggs to mixture and stir.
  • Add in the flour and salt and blend until a thick batter forms.
  • Pour batter into a greased or lined 8 x 8 pan and smooth around.
  • In another bowl, add powdered sugar and cinnamon and stir together, it will take a little bit of stirring but it will come together.
  • Pour the cinnamon and powder sugar mixture over the top and swirl it into the batter.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until center is cooked.
  • Let it cool.
  • Mix together the glaze of powdered sugar, milk, butter and cinnamon until a glaze forms. Add a little more milk to thin if desired.
  • Drizzle over the blondies, cut and enjoy!
