Bacon Chipolte Smoked Pork

Pork loin roasts can be super tasty and when cooked right they are moist and delicious! This Bacon Chipolte smoked pork roast recipe is super simple because you just use McCormick’s grillmates bacon chipolte seasoning, barbecue sauce and bacon! It gets cooked on a pellet grill, smoker or grill to give it some extra smokey goodness or it can be baked in the oven.

This bacon chipolte smoked pork is not spicy at all but the smokiness from the chipolte seasoning comes through and really compliments the bacon and pork loin roast. The wrapped bacon helps keep the loin roast moist and juicy as well!

What you need

serves 4-6

~2 pounds pork loin roast
2 tablespoon McCormick grillmates bacon chipolte seasoning
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 pound bacon

Instructions

Coat pork tenderloin in McCormick bacon chipolte seasoning.

Add barbecue sauce on top.

Wrap bacon around pork loin roast.

Move to an aluminum foil lined cookie sheet.

Cook uncovered on smoker or pellet grill on 350 F. for ~ 1 – 1:10 hour depending on your roasts thickness or until internal temperature is between 145 F and 165 F.. 145 F. will be slightly pink but that is the USDA new recommended temperature for rare pork.

Let rest for 10 minutes then slice and serve.
