Hawaiian BBQ Pork Roast

This Hawaiian BBQ Pork Roast tastes delicious! Serve with grilled pineapple and rice or some macaroni salad for a tasty island inspired dinner. This hawaiian BBQ pork roast only requires a few ingredients and minimal effort to make. Just season, grill/bake and serve. I made this on my pellet gril but it can also be baked in an oven as well.

What you need

makes ~2 pounds of meat
  • ~ 2 pound Pork loin roast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup Hawaiian BBQ sauce (I like Sweet Baby Rays brand)
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • *optional – fresh pineapple grilled

Instructions

1- Place pork loin on a aluminum foil lined cookie sheet.

2 – Sprinkle each side of the roast with salt.

3 – Pat brown sugar around roast

4 – Spread Hawaiian BBQ sauce over the top of roast.

5 – Slice red onion into 1/4 inch thick rings and spread over the top of the roast.

6 – Grill Pineapple separate and serve with the pork roast.

7 – Cook for 1 hour to 1 hours and 10 minutes or until roasts internal temperature is 145 F. (rare) to 165 F. (well done).

8 – Let roast rest for 10 minutes before slicing a serving.

you can see my onions rolled off to the sides, but use aluminum foil and they should stay on better.

9 – Serve with grilled pineapple, mac salad, rice or steamed vegetables.
