Cranberry and Grapefruit Smoothie

I love this cranberry and grapefruit smoothie! It’s refreshing, sweet, a little sour and all the flavors blend beautifully! I love grapefruit and you can taste it loud and clear in this smoothie but you can also tastes the cranberry and the honey, which I think is a part of the magic in this smoothie, nothing is over powering the other.

This makes about 24 ounces and if you have any leftovers you can freeze them in a sandwich size bag and lay flat in your freezer, that way you can easily eat then later by letting the bag sit in hot water for a few minutes then mashing up with a fork or spoon to create more of a slush or you can place in a blender with a little more cranberry juice for a really quick smoothie.

What you need to make cranberry and grapefruit smoothie:

Makes ~ 24 ounces

  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 large grapefruit – peeled
  • 2 heaping tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 1/2 cups ice

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to the blender, blend until smooth, adding more cranberry juice to thin and enjoy!

I love how cranberry and citrus work so well together, you might think that the sour on sour would be too much but I love how the flavors just enhance one another. If you want some other cranberry and citrus recipes check these out.
