Brown Sugar Pecan Pie Recipe

This brown sugar pecan pie recipe is a favorite at my house. It is loaded with pecans, a soft and gooey custard filling that is permeated with delicious brown sugar and toasted pecan flavor and of course a buttery crust to bring everything together in a delicious pie.

I contemplated calling this pie Harvey’s brown sugar pecan pie because it is my son Harvey’s favorite pie ever! Anytime we eat pie, it is his top request! Since google won’t let many people see this recipe if I call it by a family name, I’ll just name it brown sugar pecan pie on here but know it’s being called Harvey’s Pecan pie at my house.

This pie is surprisingly easy to make and really delivers on flavor and textures. It’s an easy brown sugar, egg, butter, vanilla and corn syrup mixture with lots of pecans!

You can use a store bought pie crust, like I did in the pie pictured. There is no shame in this little shortcut, especially if you are crunched for time or energy. This pie pictured was made for Thanksgiving so I opted for a frozen crust.

However, I do love a homemade pie crust and the butteriness from homemade cannot be rivaled. Here is my homemade pie crust recipe for those wanting to make the crust from scratch.
