Persimmon Spice Bread

This persimmon spice bread recipe is simple and delicious with the flavors of pumpkin pie spice and orange going through it. It tastes a little like pumpkin bread and a Wassel drink combined in a tasty sweet bread form.

Persimmons are in season during the fall. They taste sweet, like brown sugar. They aren’t particularly tart or flavorful other than offering sweetness. This means they taste great in baked goods. They can take on a slight pumpkin feeling to them when used in baking.

This recipe is fairly straightforward with how it’s made, it’s essentially a “dump and mix” kind of bread. You will blend the persimmons in a blender or food processor so they become a liquid and then mix together the wet ingredients followed by the dry and then stir together and bake. Easy and perfect for a fall treat.
