Homemade Mac & Cheese With Real Cheddar

Homemade mac and cheese with real cheddar is the ultimate comfort food! It is also super easy to make! My kids are surprisingly picky about their mac and cheese, it has to be perfectly cheesy, smooth, real cheese flavor and the sauce to noodle ratio has to be just right! This recipe meets their expectations and they love it and so do I!

Serves 10 People

4 Cups Water

4 Cups Milk

2 Tablespoons Butter

5 Cups Dry Large Elbow Macaroni Noodles (or noodles of choice)

1 1/2 teaspoons Salt

3 Tablespoons Cornstarch

3 Tablespoons Water

4 Cups Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

In a small bowl combine cornstarch and water and once the noodles are tender, do not strain noodles! Stir the cornstarch and water mixture into the boiling noodles and liquid over medium high heat. The mixture should begin to thicken. Stir in the cheese until it’s all mixed in and liquid is thickened into a cheesy and creamy sauce covering the noodles. remove from heat.
