Healthy Blackberry Crumble

This healthy blackberry crumble tastes so amazing! Plus an added bonus is when it’s baking your whole house smells like a bakery! The flavors all work together beautifully. It’s healthy dessert comfort food at it’s best! Even if it were not healthy for you I would still say it tastes amazing! Natural ingredients are the stars of this dish!

In addition to tasting delicious, this healthy blackberry crumble fits perfectly in line with my nutritional goals! It does have carbohydrates but they are balanced by fiber and healthy fats so they can more easily be broken down by the body.

Blackberries have been on sale lately around me so I have taken full advantage of the amazing price and I am loving them! I am also trying really hard to keep my blood sugar levels in check because sadly my body doesn’t love carbohydrates. So if I make something with carbohydrates in it, it needs to taste delicious and be worth every single gram this healthy blackberry crumble checks all the right boxes.

what you need to make healthy blackberry crumble:

makes 8 x 8 pan.

  • 12 ounces blackberries – fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil – melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. In a bowl, combine blackberries, coconut sugar and lemon juice.
  3. Pour into a 8 x 8 glass baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine almond flour, quick oats, vanilla extract, coconut sugar, salt and melted coconut oil.
  5. Once mixed, pour over the top of the blackberries.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes. Mixture will be nice and bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly then serve.
