Healthier Banana Bread

This healthier banana bread is super moist and has great banana bread flavor and texture! It’s made with almond flour, apple sauce and coconut sugar. The warm flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg really highlight the banana and apple flavors!

What you need to make healthier banana bread:

makes 1 large loaf

  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 1 cup apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter – melted
  • 1-1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup white or wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon on top

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add bananas and smash.
  2. Add apple sauce and coconut sugar and blend together until smooth.
  3. Next add melted butter and stir.
  4. Now add almond flour, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking powder and baking soda and stir batter well.
  5. Pour into a greased bread baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour.
  8. Let cool mostly before slicing.
  9. Enjoy!
