Frozen Bananas with Peanut Butter and White Chocolate

These frozen bananas with peanut butter and white chocolate, are also known as “boo-nanas” by my family. They are a delicious, easy and a fun treat to put together. You can make them all year round but we especially love to make them during the fall and Halloween time! We make them into mummies and ghosts and think they are the cutest little creations.

We started making these during out annual potions night a few years ago and they always make a return to the party. Our potions night is all about fun! We grab a bunch of drink creation options and some dry ice and basically just play around with flavors and carbonate our drinks. We have festive treats and listen to fun Halloween music. In the past we have done lemon lime creations where we added fun colors, fun flavors, gummy worms and other fun candy. Last year we did homemade root beer floats with festive treats like the boo-nanas. This year we did Kool-Aid creations, like “shark-al-berry” and got gummy sharks to go with, homemade root beer, and pink lemon aid with “Evil-twin” gummies candy and “twin-snakes” and of course the boo-nanas made another appearance too. All fun years and we’ll keep doing it for forever!

So making these is really simple, you cut your bananas in half, insert a popsicle stick and freeze them. Then you dip them in melted peanut butter and then dip them into white chocolate to create a ghost or drip white chocolate on top to create little mummies. Add mini chocolate chips for eyes and freeze them until they are frozen all the way. Super easy, fun, delicious and festive! Full directions and ingredients are below.

  7. If making mummies, use spoonful’s of chocolate to drizzle chocolate over banana so it looks like mummy wraps.
  8. Add mini chocolate chips for eyes, if the eyes won’t stick, place a little white chocolate on the back of the chocolate chips and place on the banana.
  9. If adding crushed peanuts add right after applying chocolate.
