Strawberry Syrup

 

This super simple Strawberry Syrup is bursting with Fresh strawberry flavor and goes great with pancakes, waffles, french toast, Ice cream, cheesecake, cakes, as a base for shakes and smoothies, etc.. the the possibilities are endless! you are going to want this one in your recipe arsenal!

What you will need:

Equipment:

Sauce pan

Blender

spoon or spatula to stir

 

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen Strawberries

Water as needed

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup corn syrup

1 tsp Lemon Juice

 

Wash and haul (remove the stems and leaves) strawberries and puree in blender until smooth, adding a teaspoon or so of water if needed. Measure out 1 cup of strawberry puree and put into sauce pan, add 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup corn syrup and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Turn heat on medium high and stir continuously until mixture reaches a boil, let it boil for about 1 minute then reduce heat and simmer for about 4 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly.  You can let the mixture cool and it will thicken more or use immediately. Strawberry Syrup

1 cup pureed strawberries

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup corn syrup

1 Tablespoon Lemon juice

Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and stir continuously over high heat

When mixture reaches a boil, let boil for 1 minute then Reduce heat to a medium heat and simmer for about 4 minutes continue stirring until syrup thickens slightly.
