Lazy Fish Tacos

I love fish tacos! I could eat them at least once a week and be a happy camper! With that knowledge about me, you should also know that I absolutely love these lazy fish tacos! I have 4 kids so anything that is quick, easy and delicious calls my name!

They are incredibly easy to make and taste amazing! They are made with frozen fish sticks, make sure you get good quality – whole fish – no fillers – fish sticks, that is very important, I love The Ultimate Fish Sticks by Trident, I buy them at Costco in the freezer section, my kids love them plain too.

These lazy fish tacos also included black beans, peach and cilantro salsa or any salsa you prefer (I love fruity salsa with the fish), shredded cabbage is encouraged and then some easy cilantro lime crema (recipe below) on top completes the ensemble! If you’re into over the top deliciousness then adding an optional lime wedge, fresh cilantro and a sprinkle of cotija cheese will set this dish on fire with flavor in my opinion.

I can’t forget to mention the warmed corn tortilla! It does more than provide a vessel for the fillings, the corn flavors work so well with these fish tacos and give them an authentic taste. However, you can use flour tortillas if you like them more, truth be told I like both corn and flour.

I don’t always add easy meals like these tacos to my website because they are so easy and I just don’t think about adding a recipe for them. However, these kinds of meals make up the majority of my family’s meals so I thought I would post these and give some dinner time recipe inspiration to anyone looking for some. I am going to be better at posting all of the easy meals we enjoy on a regular basis.

What you need to make these lazy fish tacos:

  • Cilantro lime crema – recipe HERE or recipe card below

Instructions

  1. Cook fish sticks according to package directions, I love to air fry them on 400 F. for about 15 minutes.

  3. Prepare cabbage or buy the pre-shredded cabbage
  4. Prepare toppings, make the salsa and crema.
